 tower and block redevelopment for Kingsway and Broadway (to 10th and W
 atson). This citizen's forum is a response to the April 12th city-run
  Open House on this rezoning proposal and the March 20th joint develo
 per/city workshop.\nThe density and height of the current application 
 far exceeds existing zoning bylaws and is is contrary to the recently 
 approved Mt. Pleasant community plan.  Increased land speculation and
  rising residential and commercial rents are inevitable consequences o
 f such a significant rezoning.\nIndependent residents will present the
  issues at hand and discuss positive solutions and visions for one of 
 the oldest neighbourhoods in Vancouver.  The forum will be open to al
 l for comments, questions and discussion.\nThis citizen's forum is sup
 ported by CityHallWatch and organized by neighbours, including a coupl
