 opher, author, naturalist, systems theorist, and filmmaker, produced a
 nd directed by his daughter, Nora Bateson. The film includes Bateson's
  own films shot in the 1930s in Bali (with Margaret Mead) and New Guin
 ea, along with photographs, filmed lectures, and interviews. His young
 est child, Nora, depicts him as a man who studied the interrelationshi
 ps of the complex systems in which we live with a depth motivated by s
 cientific rigour, and caring integrity.\n\nCome and join us at a commu
 nity potluck and film screening of An Ecology of Mind. Meet your frien
