DESCRIPTION:In this Village Vancouver ElderGreens workshop with Alyssa
  Kohlman from Fermentoring, you'll learn to how make East Van Chi, a u
 nique veggie fermentation customized to East Vancouver. It combines el
 ements of traditional Korean kimchi, while incorporating as many local
  and seasonal vegetables as possible. East Van Chi is probiotic, raw, 
 and paleo-friendly, and a vegan option is available.You'll be fully ac
 tive in creating the fermentation (wear clothes you don't mind prepari
 ng food in), and take home a jar customized to your level of spice tol
 erance. Bring any of the following items that you wish to: cutting boa
 rd, large knife, kitchen scissors, large bowl or tub, 500mL wide-mouth
  jar and lid.\nAdults and families with children 10 years and older ar
 e welcome. All minors must be accompanied by a caregiver. We'll have a
  Community Seed Library present - you can get some free seeds for your
  garden or swap or donate some seeds.\nRegister by 5:30 pm, Thursday,
