 ts a workshop with Rhiannon Johnson at Aberthau Garden. Mid to late sp
 ring and early summer are busy times in the garden, and there are a lo
 t of plants you can seed directly. Learn what to plant now and how to 
 plant properly on your balcony, in your yard, or in your community gar
 den plot. You'll gain hands on experience and come away with the knowl
 edge to plant, grow, and harvest vegetables such as peas, beans, green
 s, beets, the onion family, root veggies, herbs, tomatoes, and carrots
  starting now! \n\nWe'll have the Pt. Grey Village Community Seed Libr
 ary present and you'll be able to take, swap or donate seeds.\n\nRain 
 or shine. $0-10 suggested donation. Free for Seniors (50 and over). Re

 d in getting involved.\n\n\nABERTHAU GARDEN PROJECT Located behind the
  Mansion, off of NW Marine Dr, & hosted by Village Vancouver, the gard
 en includes VV’s Demonstration Permaculture Garden, the WPG Preschoo
 l Garden and art/garden projects by artists-in-residence LocoMotoArt: 
 Laura Lee Coles and Rob Scharein. Emphasizing permaculture design elem
 ents, including a small hugelkultur, an herb spiral, planting pollinat
 or attractants, and saving open pollinated seeds, the garden offers fu
 n, inclusive social, educational, culinary and cultural activities for
  community members. Enjoy free/low-cost Wednesday evening cooking, fer
 menting & preserving demonstrations, inc. sauerkraut, kefir,and tastes
  of Korea and India, gardening workshops like early summer gardening, 
 native edibles walks and the seed savers club. In the garden, newer ga
 rdeners garden collaboratively alongside more experienced gardeners at
  our Saturday work parties, providing a learning experience for everyo
