Before reGenerate Design, he founded and operated B ig Sky Permaculture, where he taught courses in permaculture design, a nd has extensive experience implementing 20+ ecological design/build p rojects in the Calgary area. He started and directs the Calgary Harves t project, which aims at bringing people together to harvest local unu sed fruit from registered trees.\nLindsay Meads BSc, MEDes has a Bache lor’s of Applied and Environmental Geology and a Master’s of Envir onmental Design in Urban Design, as well as a PDC and a NCI Charrette System Training Certificate. She's worked with community groups to dev elop sustainability plans using public engagement, facilitated design workshops and implemented placemaking projects in the public realm. Be fore founding reGenerate Design, she worked for the City of Calgary in Development and Building Approvals, giving her a detailed understandi ng of bylaws, policy, planning and urban design. She also has project management experience in the environmental consulting industry, includ ing managing field programs with multiple contractors, project budgeti ng and technical report writing.\nLuke Kimmel has accumulated diverse gardening experience in a wide range of settings, studying extensively under some of Canada’s most experienced food foresters such as Rich ard Walker, Gregoire Lamoureux (Kootenay Permaculture Institute), and Rob Avis (Verge Permaculture); and working on some of Western Canada s largest and most extensive food forest projects. He continually app lies his “boots-on-the-ground” wisdom to enhance the design/instal lation process, and believes that creating a better world is possible through helping people develop a meaningful and productive relationshi p with nature.
