DESCRIPTION:Come learn about the design, implementation and management
  plan for the new Copley Community Orchard, and opportunities to get i
 nvolved!\n \nThis is an exciting new project aimed at showcasing the 
 myriad benefits of perennial food producing plants, educating people o
 n their cultivation, and creating a beautiful and productive space acc
 essible to all.\n \nIn August, 2011, The Environmental Youth Alliance
  signed a 5 year license with the City of Vancouver, for a 1 acre vaca
 nt plot of land near the Nanaimo Skytrain station, with the purpose of
  developing it into a community orchard and perennial plant demonstrat
 ion garden. A core group of community members has been hard at work de
 veloping the design and implementation plan and are now ready to open 
 the project up to the broader public for participation, input or just 
 plain old curiosity! At the Open House on March 1st, the group will pr
 esent the current design and management plan, answer questions and des
 cribe the history of the site. There will be a sign up for anyone inte
 rested in getting involved. Membership in the orchard is open to all, 
 but in the event of exceeding our membership capacity, priority is giv
 en according to proximity to the site. Details on what membership enta
