DESCRIPTION:Please join Community Way founder Michael Linton and his c
 olleagues Pieter Vorster and Caila Holbrook who are coming all the way
  from Comox to share their practical experiences with the launching of
  community currencies and to help us lay the groundwork for a successf
 ul Community Way project here in Vancouver.\n \nWe will begin with an
  informal get-together on Friday evening (Feb. 18th) starting from ab
 out 7pm at Steamworks (next to Waterfront Station Downtown) in order f
 or the participants and the Comox Community Way team to get acquainted
 . The next day, Saturday, Feb. 19th starting at 1pm, an intensive work
 shop will be held with Michael, Pieter and Caila to forge a blueprint 
 for our efforts (led by Village Vancouver's Local Economy Network) to
  launch a Community Way currency (or currencies) here in Vancouver, b
 eginning with the Dunbar neighbourhood. This is really the major kick-
 off event for this fantastic undertaking, and we strongly encourage al
 l those interested in joining the project team to participate in this 
 workshop.\n \nBecause this workshop will be focussed primarily on pra
 ctical and organisational matters pertaining to the Community Way proj
 ect, we ask that participants meet the following criteria:\n\nYou are 
 familiar with the Community Way model of community currency (to learn 
 more, visit the website www.communityway.ca and/or attend the presenta
 tion by Michael Linton and Jordan taking place on February 13th - more
  details here).\n\nYou are willing to commit to becoming a contribut
 ing member of the Village Vancouver project to create Vancouver's firs
 t Community Way currency (the first of many!) in the Dunbar neighbour
