 ock apart in the Grandview-Woodland area.\n\nWhat are they? How do the
 y work? Why are they so important?\n\nWhat is a Collective House? A re
 sidence where people share food, space, stuff, housework, some amount 
 of money though that varies by house, and some values, though again sh
 ared values vary from house to house. Most houses in the Vancouver Col
 lective House Network are centered around social and environmental jus
 tice values. Mutual support of life in the domestic realm results in s
 tronger individuals and stronger communities.\n\nWorkshops will cover:
 \nHow to Start and Sustain a Collective House: The hows and whys of co
 mmunity living.\nThe Beauty of Eating Together: Priorities and systems
  for sharing food.\nBuying a house collectively: Exploring models of h
 ome ownership and financing to create lasting and secure collective ho
 useholds.\nConflict and Communication Workshop: learn about, discuss a
 nd practice effective communication styles, tips to avoid common pitfa
 lls, and conflict resolution techniques.\nThe Collective Housing Conne
 ction: a participatory workshop aimed at connecting like-minded indivi
 duals who are seeking to start a collective house or have an existing 
 house they’re looking for others to join.\nEco-tour: How collective 
 living minimizes urban footprints.\n\nFree workshops, donations accept
