DESCRIPTION:\nOver the last few months, the City of Vancouver Food Pol
 icy team has been working on the beginnings of the Vancouver Food Str
 ategy, the City's first official food plan. \nWe are in the first pa
 rt of public engagement for the Food Strategy and keeping in tune with
  our mantra \"Talk Food With Us\" we have been going to various even
 ts around town talking about food with Vancouverites: where they get i
 t from, if they grow it, how they prepare it, dispose of it, etc. as w
 ell as identifying where great food destinations are in their neighbou
 rhoods or \"food assets\" and what is missing from their neighbourhood
  food system \"food gaps\", and so on...\nBut we can't talk food with 
 Vancouver alone and know that conversations and stories about food are
  everywhere, everyday. That's why we're looking for Volunteer Communi
 ty Food Animators  who will bring food conversations alive throughou
 t the city and help inform the food strategy.\nThe goals of Community 
 Food Animation however go beyond informing policy, and being an anima
 tor doesn't require you to be a policy person at all. The only require
 ments are that you have passion, interest, and as much extra time as 
 you're willing to commit. \n\nCheck out the brochure below - if this

 Wednesday, November 23rd from 5-6pm at the Woodwards Building. Contact
