SUMMARY:*Caring for All Creation: Land, Water and our Communities -- M
ar 3/4: From Fear and Apathy to Active-Hope and Love
DESCRIPTION:VV is pleased to be a sponsor of this series.\nFor more in
 formation: http://spiritoftheland.ca/ \nRegistration: http://spiritof
theland.ca/registration/\nAll evenings run from 6-9 pm.\nWhether we ar
e of Indigenous, Immigrant or Settler story, spiritual, religious or n
ot: we are called to care for our lands, waters, and our communities.Â
\nThe instability of our climate is by now undeniable. The contaminat
ion of land and water for unfettered resource extraction is proceeding
at an extreme scale and pace. The economic inequality between rich an
d poor is growing. We have exceeded the safe limit of carbon in the at
mosphere. And yet we hear the mantra that ongoing and rapid ‘economi
c growth’ will save us.\nIt is time to re-flect, re-imagine, and re
work, together. So many of us care about our land, water, wildlife, co
mmunities and future generations. And so many of us have been working
relentlessly to protect these gifts of life in different ways. Yet, so
often we feel alone in our works. How can this be?\nWe are an invisib
le majority. Our works and stories are different, but we share a commo
nality: love for our Earth.  We must recognize this commonality in ea
ch other for, despite valiant efforts, we cannot realize the kinder fu
ture about which we dream if we do not do so together.\nMany others ca
re for these gifts also, but believe economic growth is the engine thr
ough which to do so. Although many of us see this engine as the very s
ource of injustice, we cannot oppose each other. We are beginning to s
peak about others in war language. This is only increasing our alienat
ion. We must oppose only the system that causes suffering – of which
we are all a part – but never oppose each other.\nDo you care about
good water and soil? Do you care about right relationships with peop
les and creatures? Do you care about someone? Do you care about someth
ing?\n \nGatherings (6-9 pm)\nCaring for All Creation: From Fear and
