DESCRIPTION:At its best, activist filmmaking provides access to critic
 al thought and suppressed information and gives voice to those who are
  rarely heard. This course will explore the ways in which documentary 
 film and activism intersect. We will examine a number of recent films 
 that utilize different approaches, techniques, and collaborations and 
 that focus on different issues.  Cost: $249\nThis is an exciting new 
 course at Langara with Erin Mullan who has organized the World Communi
